Collections on the Shelves: Reference Collection, New Books, Browse (popular and recommended titles), Current Newspapers, Videos/DVDs, Audio Books, music CDs.

At the Service Desk: Check out materials or technology items, Reserves, or Holds; Pickup ILL (Interlibrary Loan) and Resource Sharing (TRAILS) items; Make a payment for a fine or fee; Ask questions.

Partner Spaces: Brewed Awakening coffee shop, UIT Service Desk, Writing Center

An MSU logon OR guest log on is needed for the majority but we also offer several Quick Access computers where no logon  is needed; Public printers (CatCard & Cash); Two quick access scanners; Flatbed scanners, one with automatic document feeder; One photocopier; One walk station treadmill desk; Portable whiteboards/glassboards; board games and puzzles.

Accessibility Amenities: Electrically powered entry doors; Ramp, lift, and elevator; Three ADA accessible computers, one with EZ See large print keyboard; Printer; Flatbed scanner; Adjustable height counter at Service Desk; Water fountain. No restrooms on this floor.

Reservable Study Spaces: Six rooms with walls but no door or ceiling. 1A - 1F.

No collections on this floor in the public spaces. The Archives and Special Collections Department has a separate area that contains closed-stack collections, but the open portions of this floor are entirely study and collaboration spaces with seating and power availability for groups and individual study.

Other Collections: Maps, Microforms, Reference atlases.

Reservable Study Spaces: One room, room #414. Completely enclosed with door. Must check out a key to use this space.

Collections on the shelves (compact shelving): Books A - L, including religion, philosophy, history, geography, social and political science, and education. Select periodicals including general interest magazines, music, visual arts, drama & films, and photography.

Equipment: 4 quick access/quick print computers (no log on needed); Public printer (CatCard); Two public phones (free campus and local calls).

Library Annex

Collections on the shelves (compact shelving): Located off-campus at 910 Technology Blvd North, the Library Annex holds all Government Documents and the majority of the print periodical collection. These items are listed in the library's online catalog, CatSearch, with the prefix location of “Library Annex”.  Users may request a hold online or by visiting the library service desk. Materials will be retrieved and made available for pick up at the service desk.
