About the Read & Publish Agreement

MSU Library has a three-year ‘read and publish’ agreement with Cambridge University Press (CUP).

The ‘read and publish’ agreement will continue to allow MSU faculty, students, and staff full and permanent access to read Cambridge University Press journals articles. In addition to the continued read-access to CUP journals, Montana State University authors will be able to publish an uncapped number of articles in CUP hybrid or fully open access (OA) journals under this agreement.

For additional information about the agreement, including which Cambridge journals are included, please visit the OA agreement - Montana State University ‘read & publish’ site.

How to Apply for Funding

1. When your article is accepted for publication, you will be notified of acceptance and given the opportunity to publish your article as open access (OA) under this agreement.

2. All MSU authors who choose to publish OA through the RightsLink platform, should also submit a request for funding through the MSU Library Author Fund

3. For more information on funding open access research at MSU Library, please visit the Author Fund website.

Further details or questions about the agreement can be obtained by contacting Rachelle McLain, Collection Development Librarian; or Hannah McKelvey, Electronic Resources & Discovery Librarian.
