What is it? First Time Users: You must register first. To register, you must be a current MSU faculty, staff, or student, and you must use a montana.edu email address.
SciFinder-n, created by the Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), is the a comprehensive database for the chemical literature, searchable by topic, author, substances by name or CAS Registry Number, OR use the editor to draw chemical structures, substructures, or reactions. It's a core research tool for chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, nanotechnology, physics, environmental science and other science and engineering disciplines.
SciFinder-n is a collection of 6 CAS databases, plus Medline: Chemical Abstracts (CAplus); CAS Registry; CASREACT; MEDLINE; CHEMCATS; CHEMLIST; MARPAT.
Why use it? Most comprehensive coverage of the chemical literature including articles, patents, reactions, and structures.
Coverage: 1808 - Current
Access: Available on networked computers on the MSU campus in Bozeman and via the proxy server. Maximum of one simultaneous user with a seven minute time out. Please log out when finished.
