Data Visualization in R, Fall 2025 - Greta Linse, Sally Slipher, Sara Mannheimer
The ability to create meaningful and attractive data visualizations is an essential skill of data-intensive research. This workshop gives you an overview of the grammar of graphics plotting concepts from the ggplot2 package. We explore ggplot’s three pl...tting layers, data, aesthetics, and geometries, for many univariate and multivariate graphics. These concepts are presented in an interactive format, integrating computational practice throughout the workshop. This workshop was held on Aug 8, 2025 in room 153 of the Norm Asbjornsen Hall at Montana State University, and online. It was sponsored by Montana INBRE, MSU Social Data Collection and Analysis Services, and Montana State University Library.
