MSU Library Trout & Salmonid Lecture 2026 - Nick Lyons
Each year, the Montana State University (MSU) Library sponsors the annual Trout Lecture featuring presenters who speak to all aspects of trout and salmonid culture and represent the diversity of angling. Our 2026 Trout Lecture: The Evolution of a Fly Fish...rman with the renowned Nick Lyons took place on April 28, 2026 in Inspiration Hall in Norm Asbjornson Hall at 7 p.m. Lyons is one of the most influential writers of American angling, founder of Lyons Press, scholar, professor, and environmentalist. He shared stories and memories from his lifetime as an angler. As an introduction to the the lecture, Opera Montana performed a song from their forthcoming production of 'A River Runs Through It'.
