Banned and Challenged Classics

Join MSU Libraries as we celebrate Banned Book Week beginning Monday, Sept. 28-Friday October 2.

Two of the great hallmarks of our culture are readers' freedom to choose what they read and writers' freedom to express themselves through written or visual works. Throughout history, these tenets have been challenged by individuals, organizations and governments.

Please join MSU Libraries as we celebrate the freedom to read and to express in our week long series on banned books. Members from the MSU Community will read selections from their favorite banned or challenged book, iThe readings will be about 10 minutes long and take place from 12-12:30 in front of or inside Renne Library (depending on weather) every day beginning Monday, September 28 and ending Friday, October 2.
