Administrative Law

Administrative Law

Rules and regulations promulgates by public agencies.

Federal Regulations

A new law usually gives rule making authority to one or more federal departments or agencies (such as the Department of Agriculture or Environmental Protection Agency), which are responsible for carrying out the provisions of the law, known as administrative law. These executive agencies develop and administer new rules, regulations, and programs to bring the law into effect.

Federal Register (1994-present) & Documents microfiche AE 2.106: (1936-present)
A daily record of new and proposed regulations as a means of informing the public and inviting input. Look here for announcements of availability of federal funds, scheduled meetings, presidential proclamations and executive orders, proposed and final federal agency regulations having general applicability and legal effect, documents required to be published by act of Congress, and other federal agency documents of public interest. Rules and regulations first appearing in the Federal Register, if made permanent, are published in the Code of Federal Regulations.

Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) - Ref Docs AE 2.106/3:
A compilation of current rules and regulations issued by federal executive agencies and/or departments which have previously appeared in the Federal Register. The CFR divides federal regulations by subject into 50 title sections which correspond with the United State Code. The annual revision incorporates new regulations and drops superseded ones, so that the CFR reflects rules and regulations in effect at the time of printing. Several indexes and tables accompany the set.
