- Wiley & Blackwell e-journals unavailable 6/28 & 6/29
Wiley and Blackwell publishers are merging into one company now called Wiley-Blackwell. Beginning on June 27th, 2008, Blackwell Synergy will no longer be available for use. The library will be updating its links after that occurs. If you have anything on Blackwell-Synergy bookmarked, it is highly likely that those links will no longer work.
During the weekend of June 28th and June 29th, all of MSU Bozeman’s Blackwell e-journals will be merging onto Wiley Interscience (Wiley’s journal hosting platform). Wiley “anticipates” that the content migration will be completed by June 30th. We hope this goes as smoothly as they say it will. If you are trying to access Blackwell or Wiley e-journals anywhere from June 27th to June 30th and encounter problems, please call the Reference Desk at 994-3171. Please do be warned however, that it is likely that we will not be able to provide content from these e-journals during this migration period but we are trying to ensure that the transition goes smoothly.
If you have set up an individual account, email and/or RSS feed alerts on Blackwell Synergy, Wiley is saying that those alerts and settings will be carried over to the new hosting platform on Wiley Interscience. For more information please visit the Wiley-Blackwell Transition FAQ page.
Here is a schedule of events that will occur during the transition period
Friday
June 277:00 pm MST (Mountain Standard Time) Blackwell Synergy closes down Saturday
June 283:00 am MST Wiley InterScience goes offline temporarily Sunday
June 297:00 pm MST Wiley InterScience comes back online, with Blackwell journals incorporated
Blackwell Synergy is no longer availableWe do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
