About the Read & Publish Agreement

MSU Library has a 'read and publish’ agreement with the Microbiology Society. This agreement will allow current MSU users to have full read-access to all journal content published by the Microbiology Societyand publish their research openly in journals published by the Microbiology Society.

Overview of Publishing Agreement

  • Open Access Article Allowance: Unlimited
  • Eligible Journals: All Journals
  • Author Eligibility: Montana State University corresponding authors
  • Article Processing Charges (APCs) are fully covered for eligible MSU author

How to Apply for Funding

  1. When your article is accepted for publication, you will be notified of acceptance and given the opportunity to publish your article as open access (OA) under this agreement.
  2. All MSU authors who choose to publish OA through the Microbiology Society, should also submit a request for funding through the MSU Library Author Fund. 
  3. Once the form has been received, the library will approve the request, and the article will continue through the publishing process.
