About the Read & Publish Agreement

MSU Library has a ‘read and publish’ agreement with Cambridge University Press (CUP). This agreement allows current MSU users to have full read-access to all Cambridge University Press journal content  and publish their research openly in eligible CUP publications.

Overview of Publishing Agreement

• Article Allowance: Unlimited
• Included Journals: All gold and hybrid journals
• Eligibility: Montana State University corresponding authors
• Article Processing Charges (APCs) are fully covered for eligible MSU authors

How to Apply for Funding

1. When your article is accepted for publication, you will be notified of acceptance by CUP and given the opportunity to publish your article as open access (OA) under this agreement. This will send a request to the library.
2. Corresponding MSU authors who choose to publish OA will be contacted by the MSU Library via email and asked to submit a request for funding through the MSU Library Author Fund. 
3. Once the form has been received, the library will approve the request, and the article will continue through the publishing process.
