How to create or renew your New York Times account

If you are MSU faculty or staff, you will need to renew your New York Times account yearly, while student accounts stay active for multiple years.

To renew your account:

  1. Access the New York Times through the Library link: https://guides.lib.montana.edu/ny-times
  2. If prompted, sign in with your NetID and password
  3. Select 'Create Account'
  4. Enter your @montana.edu email address and a preferred password
  5. Answer the status question (are you a faculty, staff, or student?)
  6. An option to set a calendar reminder for a renewal should appear
