What is it? Historical Abstracts is a bibliographic database with citations and abstracts covering the history of the world from 1450 to the present, excluding the U.S. and Canada, which are covered by America: History and Life. It also covers some of the literature in the related social sciences and humanities. It indexes key historical journals from most major countries and selections from hundreds of journals in the social sciences and humanities that are of special interest to researchers and students of history. Covering journal articles, book and media reviews, and dissertations, about 20,000 new records are added each year. Updated monthly.
