What is it? Academic Search Premier is a full-text and bibliographic database with coverage of the social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, physics, chemistry, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, ethnic studies, and more. It includes citations, abstracts, full text, and images. As of 2007, it provides indexing and abstracting for more than 8,100 scholarly and general interest periodials and full text for nearly 4,500 journals, including more than 3,600 peer-reviewed titles. Most coverage is from the 1990s to the present. Over 100 of the periodicals go back to 1975 in PDF and a few go even further. Indexing for National Geographic goes back to the 1800s. Updated daily.
