Request It!

MSU students, faculty and staff can request books, journal volumes, journal articles, and other materials, regardless of whether they are available in the MSU Library, online, or in libraries around the world.
Distance patrons - please use interlibrary loan for all of your requests.

Interlibrary Loan

Request items from other libraries or view current and previous ILL requests.
Typical delivery times are 2-5 days for articles or 1-2 weeks for books.

Document Delivery

Request digital scans of journal articles owned by the MSU Library.
Typical delivery time is 1-2 days.

Book Retrieval

Items from the stacks will be retrieved and held at the Circulation Desk for check out.
Identify an item using the library catalog and click "Place Hold."
Alternatively, use this retrieval request form.
Typical delivery time is 1-2 business days.

Purchase Requests

Suggest an item for the MSU Library to add to its collection.

Schedule a Video for Classroom Use

Instructors may schedule DVD or VHS movies to be reserved for classroom viewing.
