How to use this database:This simple database allows keyword searching of the subject headings written on the more than ten thousand individual index cards of Series 1. The keyword can be located anywhere within the subject heading. For example, a search for "automobiles" will result in hits for subject headings such as "automobiles, accidents" and "visitors using automobiles." The images of the individual index card contain citations linked to specific symbols which are explained in the introductory paragraph for Series 1.
*NOTE: The most specific search results will occur from a search based on an examination of the subject cards within a specific alphabetic grouping. The pdf files, arranged alphabetically within the finding aid, display all of the cards within that group.
