Purshia tridentata and Other Vegetation Laboratory Research

Records are arranged chronologically and document laboratory experiments conducted by Hormay primarily concerning the different methods of storing and germinating Purshia tridentata (bitterbrush) seeds, including different mediums, temperatures, and methodologies, 1942-1979. This series also includes experiments conducted on other vegetation species, including Stipa lemmoni (Lemmon's needle grass), Oryzopsis hymenoides (Indian ricegrass) Purshia glandulosa (desert bitterbrush), Pinus lambertina (sugar pine), Pinus ponderosa (ponderosa pine) and Pinus torreyana (Torrey pine).
