Place a Hold on a BookHolds
Hold requests can be made in person, by phone, or online by clicking on the "Place Hold" link in the items catalog record.
Library staff will recall the item from the person to whom it is checked out. All items are subject to recall after 3 weeks from the date of checkout.
Patrons are notified via email when the requested item is available for pick up. Items are held for 2 weeks at The Circulation Desk before being re-shelved.Retrievals
Patrons may request library staff to retrieve an item that is available on the shelf, and not currently checked out. Please be prepared to provide both the item's title and library call number when making requests.
Retrievals are performed once a day Monday-Friday. Requests received in the morning will generally be filled by the afternoon on the same day. Requests received in the afternoon will generally be filled by the following day.
Patrons are notified via email when the requested item is available for pick up. Items are held for 1 week at the Circulation Desk before being re-shelved.
We cannot retrieve items from the following collections:
- Special Collections
- Course Reserves
